Strings from Prim
The following might be helpful when changing to your new set of Prim Strings.

The only common reason for strings to break is because of over pitching.
The strings do not break from the tension when tuned to the right pitch but if the friction over the nut or bridge is too high, a very high tension can occour between the peg and the nut or the bridge and tailpiece.
By making sure the nut is well adjusted and by adding a little graphite (for example with a pencil) in the groove of the nut and bridge, the friction will be reduced and the strings should slide smoothly!
